Gapyrus has been ” born” about 25 years ago and developed by a lot of readiness for action and enthusiasm and based on passion for solid craftsmanship combined with interesting cover materials and designs.Up to now this didn’t change. A rounded offer of products has grown up and the bookbinding articles still will be manufactured in our own workshop.
But from the beginning we haven’t be afraid of manufacturing greater quantities. So you will see our products in a lot of shops without identifying them as ours – except because of the solid craft.
‘Gapyrus’ ??? Yes, namely we, the founders (G. Biegert and A. Lohmann-Biegert), created this name out of ‘Papyrus’, but with our initials.
Step by step we completed our offer with other articles, such as scraps/reliefs, notepaper, gift-wrap, a selected range of cards…. always something exquisite.
Many loyal customers, we could welcome in the course of time and who have given us a lot of suggestions, encourage us to follow this way furthermore.
